“Sean Bradrick teaches from the standpoint of the awakened Hindu Mind. May he continue to guide and inspire others in understanding Vedic wisdom. He is one of the few teachers born in the west who can do this.” ~ Vamadeva Shatriji (Dr. David Frawley)
Consultations, Classes & Workshops
To note: My classes are secular and/or non-religious unless I am teaching in a religious setting. My workshops are also secular for the most part. When teaching some modalities of Vedantic meditation, mantra, Tantra, and Ayurveda, it may be necessary to mention Vedic, Taoist, and Buddhist ties and reasoning. I do not practice appropriation without great appraciatappreciationon and at least some understanding. I do, however, keep in mind that I am likely not teaching people who adhere to these traditions; And I do respect the sentiments of people from all walks of life, including those of various other religions along with those who may be agnostic and atheistic.
Teaching these modalities and sharing my knowledge, strength, hope, and experience is part of my Dharma and not my primary source of income.  All classes, consultations, and workshops are done on a donation basis. I do not refuse anyone in need or with a desire to learn if they cannot donate. I also reserve the right to decline teaching anyone who I have reason to believe may not be ready or may not have proper intentions.

Ayurvedic Consultation~  (1.5 hours) Each consultation is different, because each person also is different. We will cover one's dosha, one's present imbalance due to either excess or deficiency, recognition of the subtle or mental doshas as they apply to the individual, meditation & mantra instruction, Ayurvedic nutrition, and Ayurvedic herbal pharmacology as per the individuals dosha and his/her current imbalance and ailment. I will also be offering online consultations in the near future.

Substitute Yoga Class   If you have a last-minute need for a substitute yoga teacher, call me. Nine times out of ten, I will be available. To note: I only teach 15 minutes of Sun Salutations. Then 15 minutes of pranayama. Then 15 minutes of chanting Aum, prefaced by an explanation of what Aum is and what benefits it has on the body & mind. The last 15 minutes is spent in Savasana while I guide the participants through Yoga Nidra. I will remain in the studio to address and answer any inquiries and can lock up if necessary.

Kriya Yoga and Kirtan Class~ Kriya Yoga was popularized by Paramahansa Yogananda who brang it to the west. Of course various forms of Kriya Yoga have been known and practiced in India and her cultural realm for thousands of years. Kriya simply means technique. I am not familiar with The Self Realization Fellowship’s form of Kriya Yoga. I will assume it consists of similar techniques I will teach in this class, which involves pranayama, bondas, mantra, and visualization. I teach these practices in a step-by-step, easy-to-understand manner and as with all my classes, I teach the meanings and reasons behind the methods. This practice leaves us in a calm, focused, and meditative state and primes the mind for Kirtan. Kirtan is a Hindu call and response way of singing hymns, mantras, names of the divine. It brings great devotion, light, and joy to the participant. Kirtan can be fun but it is meant to be a spiritual experience not a performative one. It is a celebration of inspiration.

Easy Does It Tai Chi & Qi Gong for Young & Old~  (1 hour) This class is based upon my training as a Movement Improvement Tai Chi instructor. This easy to learn and gentle form has been taught to beginners, children, and the elderly for 20 years, and has been adopted by the National Safety Council who use it in their Fall Prevention program. I have blended some of my experience with yoga and meditation, to make the class more of a mind-body experience.  I love teaching children and the aged. This is a fun, safe, and light-hearted class.

Vedantic, Yogic, & Buddhist Meditation Techniques ~  (2 hours) This class is based on the book Vedantic Meditation: Lighting the Flame of Awareness and the works of Ramana Maharshi & Ganapati Muni, as well as the teachings of Buddhist monks Thích Nhất Hạnh & Pema Chödrön.

Introduction to Yogic Breathing & Meditation Techniques ~  (2 hours) This course is based on The Science of Breath, by Yogi Ramacharaka, The Yoga Sutras with translations and commentary by Swami Vivekananda, and The Yoga of Consciousness, by Dr. David Frawley. This class is both about theory and involves practice.

Mantra 101 (2 hours) The mantra is the vibrational form and invocation of the divine. The Devata is the personal and animated form of the mantra. The mantra AUM is the vibrational fabric of the universe. Mantras can also be secular tools to increase concentration, stillness, energy, and mental clarity. Practicing mantra is essential to psychological, spiritual, and physical well being. The Sanskrit word 'Mantra' is derived from 'man' which means "mind" and 'tra' which means "to protect".  So practicing mantras can fortify and preserve one's mind, one's mental capabilities, receptivity, and memory. This course will focus on the bija mantras of the Devas and Devis which bestow the practitioner with various psychological benefits. We will discuss what AUM is, how and why to recite it. We will also delve into longer mantras such as the Shanti Mantra which brings peace, the Mahamrityunjay mantra which brings health and long life, and the Gayatri Mantra which brings warmth and brilliance.

Introduction to Practical Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy~  (3 hours) This course is based on my Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy course materials, Dr. David Frawley’s Yoga & Ayurveda: Self-Healing and Self-Realization, and Ayurveda and the Mind: The Healing of Consciousness. It is a comprehensive and purely education course, covering the base theory & philosophy of Yoga & and Ayurveda, dosha recognition, recognition of imbalance, excess, and deficiency, recognition of the subtle or mental doshas, Ayurvedic nutrition, Ayurvedic herbal pharmacology, Ayurvedic pathogenesis, and Ayurvedic psychology.

Tantra & Metaphysical Anatomy: Health of the Chakras, Nadis, and Koshas~(2 hours) This course is a practical introduction to traditional Tantric Yoga based on the teachings found in the Vigyan Bhairav and more modern teachings of Dr. Vasant Lad. We will explore various Tantric meditation techniques and use Pranayama and Mantra Therapy to increase, purify, strengthen, and balance the subtle doshas of Ojas, Tejas, and Prana. It teaches one how to keep the fields of the subtle nervous system balanced. This is not about 'Tantric sex ', nor is it any sort of 'chakra cleansing', 'chakra balancing' , or 'energy work' done by myself. Sorry, but these sorts of therapies are not just silly but useless. It is a course designed to teach one to keep these systems healthy on one's own in perpetuity with practical and timeless methods.

Sankhya Philosophy, The Yoga Sutras, & Ashtanga (Raja) Yoga Course~  (2 hours) This course is based on the Samkhya Karika, by Rishi Kapila, The Yoga Sutras with translations and commentary by Swami Vivekananda, and my Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy course material, written by Dr. David Frawley. This class is mostly educational with just 20 minutes of practice.

The Psychology of the Yoga Sutras Orientation~ (2 hours)  This course focuses on the aspects of Ayurvedic psychology, ethics, and the spirituality Rishi Patanji addresses in the Yoga Sutras. The first hour of the class will be a lecture on these topics, and the last will be devoted to discussion and Q & A. My insights and influences stem from my own decades-long Yoga practice and from great Yogis such as Baba Ram Dass, Swami Vivekananda, Paramahansa Yogananda,Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, and Sri Swami Satchidananda.

Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita Discourse~ (2 hours) The Bhagavad Gita is the primary text on Yoga as one’s personal Dharmic practice. It provides answers to many of our existential inquiries and thoroughly addresses Vedantic metaphysics and the meaning and purpose of life. While the Yoga Sutras discuss technique and Ayurvedic psychology along with methodical or systematic, step-by-step ways to enlightenment, the Bhagavad Gita addresses Sankhya philosophy or Buddhi Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Karma Yoga, and Bhakti. I first read the Gita close to 40 years ago. I have read various translations and have studied a 120-hour course on the Gita via Georg and Brenda Feuerstein's organisation called ‘Traditional Yoga Studies.’ I have read through the Gita with Dharma Pravartaka Acharya ji in both Sanskrit and English. The first hour of this class covers an introduction to the theory and practice of the Bhagavad Gita and the final hour is meant for discussion, questions, and answers.
